What the site offers

lakepeek shows lake levels, related readings, weather forecasts and tide predictions taken from public sources, with the time of each reading. It is free to use for personal purposes.

General, unofficial information

Everything on lakepeek is an unofficial copy for general information. Readings are provisional and can be delayed, revised or wrong; tide times are predictions, not observations. Do not use lakepeek for navigation, flood, boating or other safety decisions. Always check the official source, follow local authorities and obey posted signs. lakepeek is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency.

Data and credits

Lake data come from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas Water Development Board; forecasts from the National Weather Service; tide predictions from NOAA CO-OPS; locations from the U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. Census Bureau. U.S. government works are not subject to copyright in the United States (17 U.S.C. 105). Our charts, tables, text and design are ours. Details are on the sources page.

Acceptable use

Please do not copy the site as a whole or put heavy automated load on our servers. Linking to any page is welcome.
