Accessibility

We want lakepeek to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or zoom. We build the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

What we do

  • Text and numbers meet the AA contrast ratio; color is never the only way a value is shown (each difference has a plus or minus sign).
  • Every page works with a keyboard, has a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Charts have a text description, and the same numbers are in tables on the page.
  • We test pages with automated checks (axe-core) before each release.
