Who we are

lakepeek.com ("lakepeek", "we") is operated by SV HUB S.R.L., a company registered in Romania (Trade Register no. J2025042940002, CUI 51977418), registered office at Str. Ielelor Nr. 16, Ap. 1, Mosnita Noua, Timis County, Romania. SV HUB S.R.L. is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

• No accounts, no forms, no comments, no uploads. We do not ask for your name or email.
• Your browser only talks to our own server for the readings; it never contacts the agencies directly, so they do not receive your IP address from us.
• "Near me" uses your location only inside your browser to sort places by distance. It is never sent to us.
• Analytics cookies are used only after you click "Accept", wherever you are.
• We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect and why

Server logs

Our hosting provider and our content delivery provider receive technical data with each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors, and keep logs for up to 10 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Data stored on your device

Your cookie choice is saved in your browser (local storage, key "lp_consent") so we do not ask again. Nothing else is stored on your device by lakepeek.

Location for "Near me"

If you press "Near me", your browser asks for permission and, if you agree, gives your location to the page. The distances are calculated on your device; the location is not sent to us or anyone else and is not stored.

Analytics (only with consent)

If you click "Accept", we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. Until you choose, and if you choose "Only necessary", no analytics cookies are set. We ask every visitor, in every country. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Cookies and local storage

Who receives data

netcup GmbH (hosting, Germany) and Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery and security), and, only with your consent, Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC (analytics and ads). Some providers may process data in the United States; such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights in the EU, EEA and UK

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You can complain to a supervisory authority; in Romania this is ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out. See Your privacy choices. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can send a request yourself or through an authorized agent to [email protected]; we answer within 45 days.

Children

lakepeek is a general audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Security and changes

The site has no accounts, forms or database of visitors, and all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top.
